Climber week from September 5 – 12

High mountains – deep gorges

You like riding uphill. You hear your deep and regular breath – and nothing else. Just you, your bike, the road, Nature. On the signboard at the top of the pass, it is not a famous name that is waiting for you, only a fantastic view. You have not met a single car.

It is as though the Cévennes were made for these contemplative moments on a road bike. The climbs are long enough for you to get into your rhythm. Lonely enough for you to be able to concentrate just on the next turn of the pedal. Beautiful enough to make the effort into a pleasure. Short enough for you always to be able to meet up quickly as a group at the summit of the pass.

The road bike week is aimed at all sporting racing-cyclists with considerable stamina: cyclists who wish to experience, in a group, the south of the Massif Central, and who will value the opportunity, each evening, to go over the events of the day, and after the evening meal, to let their eyes sweep over the view into the mountains before enjoying a night time drink in front of the open fire. After three demanding days’ cycling, we recommend a rest-day for Wednesday. Anyone who nonetheless want to get back on their bike is naturally welcome to do so. Alternatives: a day by the pool, a canoe trip on the Hérault, a short hike, a visit to an organic chestnut farm and much, much more. We are only too glad to help you organise something!
